Help my business inkjet 1200 is acting up it started printing 1 line ok then the next line would be real light I changed the ink cartage. thinking this would help and cleaned then print heads but it did not do any good. Now the plack is coming out sort of a light purple. I tried self-test with no success what could be wrong?
Thanks

R.obin,
Once upon a time, we got in 3 new 1200 printers, set them up on the same day and two weeks later all three experienced the same problem you are having. As luck would have it, they had a 4th 1200 (which itself had been replaced because of a network card failure) from which I swapped the black printhead with one of the others. The problem followed the printhead. It took me more than an hour talking to HP tech support (not counting hold time) to convince him the printhead was bad. I was sent 1 printhead. I bought the other 2 rather than go through this again. So if you find no congealed ink the printhead may be bad.
