Hello, I just purchased a new Pavilion m9060n and am having trouble getting the audio to work. I can hear sound through headphones connected to the front headphone jack but I am unable to hear sound from the HP w2207 that I have attached via an hdmi cable.
I have already updated the realtek driver that hp provides and, of course, restarted the computer without any success. Also I've played around with the Realtek audio manager but don't have any luck getting sound out of the w2207
Thank you for helping me to get audio working.

There should be an audio cable shipped with the monitor.Plug it into the Audio-out on your P.C. to your Audio-in on the monitor. You will probably opt for a set of speakers,as the ones on the monitor are not that great. |

Thanks for the suggestion. This works. I guess I just thought the hdmi cable was supposed to supply the audio also. Is this not the case? |

Well now I've discovered that itunes is not outputting audio. I've down a quick search and discovered that its incompatibility with vista is a known issue and yet the fix does not seem to be clear.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get it working. |

Well I am running version 7.4.3.1 so it is as up to date as possible. Is there any particular conflict with the Realtek program or card? |

Sorry, can't say for sure? Maybe browse around Apples support site, for a few idea's. I have heard, that this is a widespread problem though, and not just with your type of audio system either. Gool old Vista, strikes again ehh! |

John is telling you this update is for the 7.2 or NEWER Version. It is called a hotfix. But according to what I've read.If you plugged your Ipod or Itunes into the computer without it,You coud have caused it(Ipod/Itunes) to become Corrupt. |
