Good morning everyone,

I have some issues using HP 3D DriveGuard on my 6530b notebook with Windows7 Professional. I'm using the latest version, built in july 2009.
When I install DriveGuard it works fine. But when I try to install Daemon tools - which requires STPD - I get a bluescreen and have to do a system recovery. Even if I use the latest version of STPD, which works fine on other Win7 Notebooks.

I used google and I read, that DriveGuard is the problem. So I removed DriveGuard and gave STDP on more try. It worked fine! No issues or errors.
But I want to use DriveGuard, because it helps my keeping my data save.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem?
Or does anyone of you know when a new version of DriveGuard will be released?

I hope i made myself clear becaus I'm not a native speaker. :-)
Thanks a lot for your help!
Best regards.

Please excuse the following mistake:
I meant SPTD, not stpd. :-)

You should try uninstall the 3D Driveguard driver then install Daemon tools, after that you could truy install 3D driveguard driver again.

I have the same problem on my HP mini 5101. Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit crashes when both HP 3d DriveGuard v4.0.3.1 and SPTD v1.62 driver. I tried SPTD v1.60, but crash also.
