i have a nx6325 laptop. The screen on the laptop is currently a XGA screen. Problem is it is only 1024X768, which sucks!!

http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:5lBGDLsgnWUJ:h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12447_na/12447_na.PDF+compaq+nx6325+specifications&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk

Looking at this the size is the same, so the fitment is no problem. But can I take out my old screen and put in this SXGA and get 1400X1050?

Upon researching about some people said on different models the ribbon cable is different (30pin over for sxga) not sure what is on a xga..

Anyway can I retrofit it?

Thanks

Ben

Hi,

Go to this link

http://tinyurl.com/ks4jom

and download document c00715299.pdf under "Service and maintenance information" area. Section 5.17 of this document should tell you everything and how to replace the screen.

Regards,
BH
