I have bought compaq Presario f700. When i plugged head phone and start to play the i can hear sound from both speaker as well as head phone.

I have this problem since i got my laptop. I got it from local HP compaq dealer 1.9 years ago.

I tried to get the solution but no success. Please help me if there is any settings need to be done in laptop.

Hi,

Try this & please let us know the result:

You need to go to My computer/Hardware/Hardware Profiles/then properties In here you need to tell Windows that you have a portable computer.

as per your suggestion, i marked "This is a portable computer" and checked again & its not worked :-(

After checking "This is a portable computer" , there are three more options highlighted
1. the docking state is unknown
2. the computer is docked
3. the computer is undocked

By default 1st point is selected there. Now tell me what to do now.
