Print fades drastically on the left 2 inches or so of the page. Have tried replacing the fuser and the toner. Printer is at 523000 pages. This happened about 2 and a half years ago, but I wasn't here when the tech fixed it. Thanks in advance.

You could try a new transfer roller, but I'd also check for dirty scanner optics.

I tried the transfer roller from another printer that's working fine. The optics look good. I also tried cleaning the electrical contacts. Nothing has changed it at all.

Might be time to replace the scanner assembly. Can you swap scanner assemblies from a working printer to see if the problem disappears? PartsNow has them for $185.

I can try that. I was told by a tech earlier that if it isn't that it's probably the ecu board. I'll let you know.

Replacing the scanner module fixed the problem. Cleaning the mirror helped the scanner module, but did not entirely fix it. I'm ordering a scanner module.

Thanks
