Hello. I have an HP6630 Computer with Windows Xp and 256mb. I recently bought an HP Deskjet 3820. The problem is after it installs successfully, every time the computer is restarted I keep getting Found New Hardware Wizard. Meanwhile the printer works. Does anyone have a solution? What is the proper way of installing? Unplugging everything first?
My previous printer was Deskjet 812c.
Thank you

How did you install the printer the first time?
Did you plug it in and install from a CD?
Windows XP would have the drivers for you and so I would suggest uninstalling the printer, rebooting and then following the found new hardware wizard. After it has been installed you should'nt be pestered with the wizard again. Test this by rebooting again.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Hello Paul. First I plugged in everything. Then I turned on the computer and put the CDROM in. At that time I didn't have Autorun on so went to setup manually. I even unplugged everything and waited for the files to load. It still shows up. I think it has something to do with my previous printer settings from my old printer. This time when I reinstalled it said that USB was not detected even though I have USB.

Thank you
