My computer keeps locking up when I try to print certain documents and I get a "Spool 32" message. I also have a lot of printing problems. Even our IT person is having problems. Any advice?

Hi,

If your Win95,98,ME try right clicking the driver and going to the details tab and look for a button called Spool Settings. Click on that and setit to print directly to the printer. Also try changing the spooler data format from EMF to RAW or vise versa. Also try the laserjet 4+ driver and see if that also give you problems.

I usually fix this problem by turning off all background apps. This fix will only work in Win98, ME, and XP. Go to Start/Run and run msconfig. Go to the startup tab and uncheck everything in the list. You do not need any of these items to run Windows. See if it works then.
