interesting. but sir, how do u filter the log let say only critical alerts and send to mail would appreciate you can advice on the script u use.

1.The Syslog files can be sent using sendmail ( mailx). 2.Using FTP/RCP/SCP & etc... Many ways to send the log file. 3.using DSAU. Thanks, Analyst

I looked at the article and it described advance feature, but did not specifically indicate how to ocnfigure syslog-ng to log to disk and to a network device.
