Hi folks
Strange problem and don't know what to do.
Windows 2003 r2 std with sp2 and latest patches, on proliant dl380G5 with psp 8.15,
qlogic fc hba (latest drivers & bios),msa2012 fc (latest all) , hp mpio 2.4.0.24 and veritas storage foundatio ha 5.1.
Problem as soon as a failover starts windows crashes due to hilmphp.sys (from hp's multipath ). The same happens also with previous release of mpio 2.2.
No problem with no multipath installed and one FC hba connected.
Any ideas?
Thanks !!

Nothing much to go with here. The Veritas Storage Foundation comes with DMP (dynamic multipathing). Is that on and maybe interfering with MPIO? This may be happening even if DMP is not set up.
Also what kind of FC switches do you have?

Hi,

but did you tried to replace HP MPIO with DMP?
If so, what was the result?

Today I changed from the default policy, round-robin, to failover, just one path and didn't get any BSOD until now.

Thanks

i tried dsm before mpio, but i couldn't see the storage.
I tried one path & one controller , but it' s not the proper solution
