I have a hp4345mfp, after bootin up the display shows 'copy' and 'fax' only. There is no menu button and no other option displayed fo either menu of admin.
Can someone tell me if there is another way of accessing the admin menu's.
Cheers

Thanks for the info, however I'm still having problems getting to the admin menu.
I have tried a cold reset and initialize disk, I have also tried using a new firmware DIMM, - all with the same result. Although thinking about it I did the cold reset and initialize disk after replacing the DIMM and booting up. Will that make a difference ?

Are you pressing the menu button to the right of the screen and then scrolling down to all the the menu choices. From what I remember on the M4345 it is different and then is a down touch screen on the right side to get to the admin menu, but on the 4345 you just press the menu key and then scroll down thru the menu items. |

Hi David
The 4345 I have does not have a physical 'menu' button (above the reset button). The display shows the 'copy' button on the left hand side and a 'fax' button on the right hand side. There does not seem to be any way of accessing the admin screen. I am beginning to suspect that someone has swopped out the control panel assembly with another 4345 on site.
Thanks |

How many buttons do you have above the start button. If only 3 then yes you have a M4345 menu being used on a 4345. If you have 5 buttons then you have the correct menu and one of those keys in the menu botton. If you are trying to find the address of the printer you could download a free program called netscan which will scan your network and report back the ip address of all devices it finds. Once you know the address you could then access the web page and try to get the information or make changes you need to make. You may have to use the route add command to add the ip address to your computer if it is outside your normal range. |

Found the problem !! Having done a printer audit on site at the clients, someone had swopped over the control panels. Have now swopped panels back and everything working OK. |
