Author Subject: LaserJet 4300 Prints Opposite      Add to my favorites

I have a LaserJet 4300 that is printing oddly. By this I mean that if the user asks for the printer to print in Portrait then the output is Landscape and if the request is for Landscape then the job comes out Portrait. I have looked at the settings but cannot see any issue.

Specifics of this printer:
LaserJet 4300
2x 500 sheet trays (letter)
1x 1500 sheet tray (letter)
Connected to the network and shared through Windows 2003 print server.

Any ideas where to look?

The defaults on the server might be configured to print in landscape.

1) Open up your print management software and take a look at the driver settings on your server first.

2) Check the application settings. For example, open up MS Word and go to File > Print. Check preferences from there.

3) Check the defaults on that users computer. Open up the printers and faxes folder and check the properties at that level.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks!
(points appreciated)
