Hi,

Could you help me more on some brief explanation for administration side (like how to create luns, volume group, file system, useful command, sys admin task, how to find numbers of hard disks, free space, What are daily administration tasks?
etc...)

We have a already install EVA 4400, SMA server (os- win2k3 server), Blade bl860c (os - hp-ux 11iv3).

I wish to learn maintenance and administration for pre-configure system. There is no other sys admin for help. This is my first step to start with sys admin.

Kindly request you to guide me with your great experience and knowledge.

Thanks in Advance,
Sandeep.

Hi,

Now You are talking about two things.
A) maintaining an EVA
B) administrating server (linux I guess?)

Daily storage side usage is explained in Command View EVA user guide. Using EVA is _very_ straight forward.

The OS side depends on your OS, but I am sure that OS vendor has good guides for disk managent. Try also Linux / HP-UX forums here at ITRC
