Hi,

Simple question:

We have an HP EVA4400 and i wonder if it's possible to monitor controller performance using mrtg?

MRTG (Multi Router Traffic Grapher) ? That's a tool to monitor IP traffic.

You can see many performance statistics on the EVA through Windows performance monitor. EVAperf adds several counters to the list.

MRTG doesn't monitor IP traffic, it monitors SMNP output and by using the correct OID's i should be able to monitor some EVA values aswell.

Does the system support SMTP?

SMTP or SNMP?

In fact, when SBM (server based management) is used, you still need commandview to manage. From there you can use other tools (WEBES) to notify in different ways, mail and SNMP too.

Oops, i mean SNMP, sorry about that ;)

So i could use WEBES to send out SNMP traps, is that right?

Yes, but with WEBES and CV you already have a management solution.

Yes,

But i want to have one management page that contains all my hardware info. For example, my current mrtg pages show port utilization on procurve switches, juniper firewalls, cpu loads etc.

I want to add the EVA load aswell, to keep everything nice and neat on one single view.
