In the process of cleaning the rollers of the office HP 4050TN, the screws anchoring the spring and controller piece were loosened. The spring popped off before I could see how it was placed. I need to know how to reinstall the spring correctly. We are now without a printer, waiting information. I would appreciate a reply and hopefully a diagram that shows how to reinstall the spring correctly.

Thank you

Sara,

Im not sure if this will work for you or not but I was able to find some diagrams that may help.

Please see the following document:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bpl06785

As you read through the document for the maintenence kit you will find several steps and diagrams.

I hope you can find some of them useful for your problem. Let us know if you need more help.

Thanks!

After studying the machine for a little bit, (and retrieving a screw that was dropped in the works), I was able to put the spring back in place - it seemed a little looses, but when we ran a print, the printer worked fine and the page was clear of the streaking that prompted me to clean the rollers initially.

Thank you for sending the email. The graphics are more explanatory than the general information -but do not cover the exact piece that popped out.
