When I try to use sleep / standby / hibernate I get the following message: "System Standby Failed. The driver for Printer Port Logical Interface device is preventing the machine from entering standby. You may need to update this driver."

I'm using the driver from the HP3100 / XP cd. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Hi,

Follow the steps below

- click start - settings - control panel
- right click System Icon and select open
- click Hardware
- go to device manager
- Select View and hidden devices
- go to system devices
- disable Printer Port Logical Interface
- reboot the system

Dang, that works GREAT! Who would have thought of "hidden devices"...?
