I just received four alerts. So functionally SIM must be working - I just can't seem to get the login page to appear. |

I had to downgrade to SP3 by editing the mxversion.props file and changing the value of SimInternalRevision to soemthing lower (such as C.05.00.00.00). Then I applied SP3. That seemed to get me back up and running without any major problems so far. |

Yes, looks like you found something, but we have a workaround. You should only have this issue if you have upgraded from SP3 to SP4 AND you did not install HP SIM in the default directory (i.e. c:\program files\....).
Stop the HP SIM service. Go to <install dir>\jboss\server\hpsim\conf\jboss-service.xml and open that in an editor (like notepad). Be careful of the path as there are several files like this - you need this specific one. Look on line 450 of the file and that has the installed path of HP SIM (will have the default of c:\program files...) and change it to where you have HP SIM installed - for instance "c:\mySIM".
The actual edited line should look like this for this example file:/C:\mySIM\hpwebadmin\webapps
Let me know if this does not solve your problem! |

This is called 'back door support' and not the valid way of logging support calls - fyi. I just happened to catch this one...
Always log a support case; they had been notified about this. In case you hadn't...
Glad to hear this resolved it though!

Thanks for the infromation from this thread. I was at SIM 4.0 SP2 and tried going to SIM 4.0 SP4. I had the same issue and had to do the same thing in here to get it to work. |
